It has developed films based on books, comics, computer animated collection and video games. In 2015, Tencent established up Tencent Penguin Photo (Shanghai), a brand-new film production unit, focusing on online dramatization and minority financial investments in function movies.

Today it became known that Remedy has signed a global development, license and distribution agreement with Tencent for the cooperative multiplayer game project Vanguard

The project with the code name Vanguard is Remedy's own IP. It is a free, cooperative EVE booster that connects Remedies's narrative expertise and action gameplay to a captivating multiplayer experience.

The developer known for Alan Wake and Quantum Break will develop the game with the Unreal Engine for PC and console platforms.

Remedy will develop the game worldwide and publish, except selected Asian markets, where Tencent will locate and publish the game.

The development of Vanguard is currently in the so-called proof-of-concept phase. The development budget will be on the order of a typical budget for AAA games of Remedy by the end of the first year of live operation.

The development is co-financed by Remedy and Tencent. In addition, Tencent will locate the game for the selected Asian markets and take over the associated localization costs.

Remedy and Tencent will be responsible for their own publishing and playing costs in their respective areas as they share part of the revenue after covering development costs with the other party.

As part of the agreement, REMEDY TENCENT also transferred worldwide rights to develop and publish a mobile version of the game.

Tencent will take over the cost of developing and publishing the mobile version. The parties have agreed on a separate system for the division of revenue from the mobile version.
